Remove Truck Stickers With Home Remedies
I bet you did like many people have done and put those sticky bumper stickers on your vehicle. Or maybe, you bought a used truck and have found someone had a sticker explosion and the vehicle you purchased was the victim. Yes, you can the easy way. That does not mean you will not have to do a little bit of work.
The sun is your enemy here. Because the heat of the sun can bake on all kinds of different adhesives, bumper stickers usually seem to become permanent. But, I have seen with even some of the worst cases, that you can beat this nemesis.
Article two are my fingernails. Fingernails! I have real long fingernails and never thought I could use them to help me take glue off the side of my automobile. Well, I really did not think they were going to work but, guess what? They work like no one’s business. I peeled up a corner of one of those stickers and I was able to get more than half it off! I was amazed!
Fingernails come in real handy for this type of labor. If you do not have any you may want to employ the use of someone you know who has fingernails. Using the fingernail, try to peel off as much of the sticker as you possibly can. You must stay patient! This is tedious but, it can give you what you are looking for if you will simply take your time!
I also figured out that you need to peel up these stickers at about a ninety degree slant. They just seem to want to be pulled off a certain way. It is almost as if they have a mind of their own. They are stuck and they want to stay that way. Well, I proved that I am more stubborn than they are.
I can either take alcohol or vinegar (one part) and combine it with one part water and put it in a bottle that has a sprayer. Then I take this fluid and put it on the gooey parts which are left once I have taken off the stickers. Taking a finger, I stroked the remains until they came off.
Now take a mixture of one part alcohol to one part water and put this into a spray bottle. Spray this liquid on the glue residue which is left on the body of your truck. Let this soak in for about two minutes. Now take your finger and rub. This should release the residue. Spray again with the solution. Rub with your finger again. Keep doing this until all (or most) of the excess is gone.
Once I got off all that I could, I took some wax (yes, wax that is used for cars) and polished the areas which had the residue. It really helped and I am proud of the work I have done. Especially having the patience to finish the job.
